Father – A First Friend

 

You have been my first friend,

You have always followed the trend,

You have been my source of inspiration,

Without you, my life would not have begun,

You have always been so strict and perfect,

I hated you for that,

But I know that it was all for good,

As it has made me what I am, a successful dude,

You have helped me to guide my whole life through,

You have been there when I most needed you,

You are so sweet that I like to touch your feet,

You are nice and also too much wise,

But you have this bit of anger,

Which makes my stomach go on hunger,

That part of you I fear the most,

But I know it’s for good and it makes me a strong toast,

Time changes and I myself may become a father,

I want to be like you so that I can make my son a good starter,

There may be difference in our opinion,

But I promise that I will always abide you,

Lately, your behavior has changed,

You now think that I am big enough,

It makes me feel proud,

But again I can feel the burden of responsibilities transferring,

Thank you for being such a wonderful dad,
